We’ve seen this scenario many times throughout the history of Big Brother; should you stay loyal and take your alliance member to final two with you, or take the easy win? In my opinion, the most memorable of these instances happened on BB16 when Cody won the final HOH, chose loyalty over money, and brought Derrick to final two with him — essentially handing Derrick $500,000. Well, it looks like we are going to see a similar situation play out this season.

So, what would you do if you were in Tyler or Kaycee’s position? Would you choose loyalty and take the person you’ve had a final two deal with the entire game? Or, would you take JC, kick back, and watch your bank account grow by half of a million dollars?

For me, there is NO question. You signed up to win the game, right? If making new friends is the main take away you want from your Big Brother experience, then you’re wasting your time. Go to a bar or some other social setting if you want to meet new people. If I’m in Kaycee or Tyler’s position and I win the final HOH of the season, I’m taking JC with me. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Sure, America would paint me as a villain. Who cares? I’d wear that as a badge of honor with my $500,000 prize in the bank.

I look at it like this; I have enough friends, I don’t have enough money. As the old saying goes, “If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.” No thanks. I’m all set. Seventeen years from now I will have two kids in college. Yeah, I’m taking the sure thing.

I wouldn’t even blame someone if they stabbed me in the back this way. Of course I’d be upset, but I’d have to respect it because I know I would have done the same exact thing.

I know Cody has said all the right things whenever he has been asked about his decision to bring Derrick to the final two. But if you asked him off the record, behind closed doors, I’m willing to bet he would tell you that was the biggest mistake of his life.
