Amanda And Zach’s Decision: Loyal Or Insane?

I feel like I just wrote this blog a couple of weeks ago as we were nearing the end of Big Brother 20 when I asked our readers if they would chose loyalty/friendship over money. Well, a similar scenario played itself out during last night’s (October 2) episode of The Challenge: Final Reckoning.

With the votes to send a team into the Armageddon split completely down the middle between Bananas/Tony and Hunter/Ashley, the team that won the last challenge played the role of tie-breaker. ONE PROBLEM. That team, Amanda and Zach. The only team in the house that is divided when it comes to alliances; Zach sides with Bananas/Tony/Cara/Marie, while Amanda’s loyalties lie with the Lavender Ladies.

It was put up or shut up time for Amanda and Zach. Their scapegoats, Jozea and Da’Vonne, were not longer in play. Lavender Ladies, or team “No One Likes Us?” They had to pick a side. Or did they?

Zach refused to say Tony’s name. Amanda refused to say Ashley’s. What happened next might be one of the most loyal, or insane, moves I’ve ever seen in all my years of watching The Challenge.

With the duo not being able to come to a compromise, Zach steps down from the stand and walks over beside TJ.

A WILD turn of events. Keep in mind, Amanda and Zach won the last challenge. They were safe from elimination this week. The only they had to do was agree on who to send in. Instead, they found themselves side-by-side with TJ contemplating who they wanted to go to battle against in the Armageddon — which was an obvious decision since Jozea and Da’Vonne we’re back on the table at this point.

TJ reached into his old bag of tricks again and informed Amanda/Zach and Jozea/Da’Vonne that they would not be competing against each other…

Hold up…did you hear that? IS THAT BIG D’s MUSIC!?!?

No, no, no, Amanda and Zach. You will not be competing against Jozea and Da’Vonne. Instead, you get Devin and Cory.

Big D and Cory swept the field defeating both, Amanda/Zach and Jozea/Da’Vonne, in the Armageddon earning them a spot in the game and a shot at the $1,000,000 prize.

So now, since Amanda and Zach could not decide on who to send into the Armageddon, Bananas/Tony or Hunter/Ashley, they’re left with a broken nose and a trip to the Redemption House.

But hey, at least they still have their friends.
